ISO 9001 – Quality Management System

To implement a quality management system in accordance with the international standard STN EN ISO 9001:2009, the organization — through its own effort and with the help of a consulting company — must document and implement the following processes into its operations:

  • Established controlled documented procedures and records for the quality management system
  • Management is responsible for the quality policy and objectives and their planning
  • Provided resources (human and material) for the quality management system
  • Management reviewed the quality management system with an emphasis on customer focus
  • Defined responsibilities, authorities, communication, competence and training of staff, together with the company's infrastructure

(Activities that the company does not perform may be excluded from the scope of the quality management system implementation)

  • Planning of activities
  • Relationships and communication with the customer – their requirements and their review
  • Management of design and development of new products
  • Management of purchasing, evaluation and management of suppliers
  • Management, validation and protection of processes and services provided, including customer property – their identification and traceability
  • Management of measuring and monitoring devices
  • Ensured measurement and monitoring of the company's procedures and processes
  • Performed inspection and auditing of processes, products and the quality management system in relation to customer satisfaction
  • Kept nonconforming products under control and analyzed all collected data
  • Continually improved the quality management system and carried out corrective and preventive actions

It is highly advantageous when a quality management system is already implemented in the organization, or is implemented in parallel with the other systems.

ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System

To implement an environmental management system in accordance with the international standard STN EN ISO 14001:2004, the organization — through its own effort and with the help of a consulting company — must document and implement the following processes into its operations:

  • The company's management created and is responsible for the environmental policy

The company must establish, implement and maintain procedures:

  • To identify the environmental aspects of its activities, products and services within the defined scope of the environmental management system that it can control and influence, taking them into account for planned or new developments, or new or modified activities, products and services
  • To determine those aspects that have or may have a significant impact on the environment (i.e. significant environmental aspects)

The organization must document this information and keep it up to date.

The organization must ensure that significant environmental aspects are taken into account when establishing, implementing and maintaining its environmental management system.

The organization must establish, implement and maintain procedures:

  • To identify and access the relevant legal requirements and other requirements the organization has committed to comply with that relate to its environmental aspects
  • To determine how these requirements apply to its environmental aspects

The organization must ensure that these relevant legal and other requirements it has committed to comply with are taken into account when establishing, implementing and maintaining its environmental management system.

The organization must establish, implement and maintain documented long-term and short-term environmental objectives at the relevant functions and levels of the organization.

Long-term and short-term objectives must be measurable wherever practicable, and must be consistent with the environmental policy, including the commitment to prevention of pollution, to compliance with applicable legal and other requirements the organization has committed to, and to continual improvement.

When setting and reviewing its long-term and short-term objectives, the organization must take into account the legal and other requirements it has committed to comply with and its significant environmental aspects. It must also consider its technological options, financial, operational and business requirements, and the views of interested parties.

Programs to achieve the objectives:
  • Assignment of responsibility for achieving the long-term and short-term objectives for the relevant functions and levels of the organization
  • The means and time frame within which they are to be achieved

It is highly advantageous when a quality management system is already implemented in the organization, or is implemented in parallel with the environmental management system.

ISO 22001 – Food Safety Management System (HACCP)

To implement a food safety management system in accordance with the international standard STN EN ISO 22000:2006 or HACCP, the organization — through its own effort and with the help of a consulting company — must document and implement the following processes into its operations:

  • Established controlled documented procedures and records for the management system
  • Formed a food safety / HACCP team
  • Characterized its products, technological steps and control measures
  • Identified their intended use

The organization must ensure:

  • Preparation of a flow diagram of the food production
  • Identification of all hazards that must be prevented, eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level (hazard analysis)
  • Identification of the critical control points at the step or steps where control is essential to prevent, eliminate or reduce a hazard to an acceptable level
  • Establishment of critical limits at critical control points which separate acceptability from unacceptability for the prevention, elimination or reduction of identified hazards
  • Establishment and implementation of effective monitoring procedures at critical control points
  • Establishment of corrective actions when monitoring shows that a critical control point is not under control
  • Establishment of procedures to be carried out regularly to verify the effective operation of the measures established in the preceding paragraphs
  • Establishment of documents and records commensurate with the nature and size of the food business to demonstrate the effective application of the measures established above, in particular the food safety support program and HACCP plans

It is highly advantageous when a quality management system is already implemented in the organization, or the food safety management system / HACCP is implemented in parallel.

ISO 3834 – Welding Quality Management System

To implement a welding quality management system in accordance with the international standard STN EN ISO 3834:2006, the organization — through its own effort and with the help of a consulting company — must document and implement the following processes into its operations:

  • Review of requirements and technical review of the welding design
  • Ensuring quality control of subcontracting
  • Qualification of welding personnel and welding coordination staff
  • Competence of personnel for inspection and testing
  • Adequate and suitable production and testing equipment that is continuously recorded and maintained
  • Welding and related activities – welding preparation, establishing and approving welding procedures, welding work instructions and procedures for the preparation and control of welding documents
  • Testing, handling and storage of welding consumables
  • Storage of base materials for welding, including materials supplied by the customer
  • Post-weld heat treatment
  • Inspection and testing before, during and after welding, as well as establishing the inspection and testing status
  • Handling nonconformities and corrective actions during welding processes
  • Calibration of measuring, inspection and testing equipment
  • Identification and traceability of welding processes throughout the entire welding realization
  • Quality records of all required welding processes

It is highly advantageous when a quality management system is already implemented in the organization, or the welding quality management system is implemented in parallel.

OHSAS 18001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management System

To implement an occupational health and safety management system in accordance with the international standard OHSAS 18001:2007, the organization — through its own effort and with the help of a consulting company — must document and implement the following processes into its operations:

  • The company's management created and is responsible for the occupational health and safety policy

The organization must establish and maintain procedures for the ongoing identification of hazards, risk assessment and risk management, and for implementing the necessary control measures. The procedures must cover:

  • Routine and non-routine activities
  • Activities of all personnel who have access to the workplace (including subcontractors and visitors)
  • Workplace facilities, whether provided by the organization or by others

The organization must ensure that the results of these assessments and the effects of controls are taken into account when setting OHS objectives. The organization must document this information and keep it continually updated.

The organization's methodology for hazard identification and risk assessment must:

  • Be defined with respect to its scope, nature and timing to ensure it is proactive rather than reactive
  • Provide for the classification of risks and the identification of those to be eliminated or controlled by company measures
  • Be consistent with operational experience and the capability of the risk control measures in place
  • Provide input to the determination of facility requirements, identification of training needs and/or improvement of operational controls
  • Provide for the monitoring of the required actions to ensure the effectiveness and timeliness of their implementation

The organization must establish and maintain a procedure to identify and access the legal and other OHS requirements that apply to it. The organization must keep this information up to date. The organization must communicate relevant information on legal and other requirements to its employees and other relevant interested parties.

The organization must establish and maintain documented occupational health and safety objectives for each relevant function and level within the organization. When implementing and reviewing its objectives, the organization must take into account its legal and other requirements, its OHS hazards and risks, its technological options, its financial, operational and business requirements, and the views of interested parties. The objectives must be consistent with the OHS policy, including the commitment to continual improvement.

The organization must establish and maintain an OHS management program to achieve its objectives. The program must include documentation of:

  • Assignment of responsibility and authority for achieving the objectives at the relevant functions and levels of the organization
  • The time schedule and means for achieving the objectives

The OHS management program must be reviewed at regular and planned intervals. Where necessary, the OHS program must be amended to address changes in the organization's activities, products, services or operating conditions.

It is highly advantageous when a quality management system is already implemented in the organization, or the occupational health and safety management system is implemented in parallel.
